Since 1912, the rank of Eagle Scout has carried a special significance as it has only been awarded to 2.5 million Scouts of Scouts BSA, approximately 4% of all Scouts BSA (Boy Scouts of America).

Eagle Scout Ethos:
– Citizenship Training
– Character Development
– Personal Fitness

The Boy Scouts of America and the African Methodist Episcopal Church have been partners since 1938. Scouting is included in the African Methodist Episcopal Church’s Doctrine and Discipline of the AME Church. The natural alliance ensures the positive development of character and leadership qualities for future generations of Black/African American youth.

The Association of African Methodist Episcopal Scouts will award up to twenty (20) $500 scholarships annually, one (1) to each District.
